British cellist Ariana Kashefi is in high demand as a chamber musician and soloist performing in venues including the Wigmore Hall. Ariana is a Park Lane Group Young Artist as well as being the winner of the Making Music ‘Awards for Young Concert Artists’ and a finalist in the Royal Overseas League competition. After graduating with a first class bachelor degree from the Royal College of Music, Ariana became the recipient of the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society’s ‘Julius Isserlis Scholarship’ for instrumental studies abroad, allowing her to complete her masters degree at the Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ in Berlin with Claudio Bohorquez. In Berlin she was chosen by the school on two occasions to perform in the prestigious ‘Excellence Concerts’ for exceptional students. From October 2016, Ariana became one of 30 hand picked students chosen by Maestro Barenboim himself to study in the new Barenboim-Said Academy for an Artist Diploma with Frans Helmerson.
Ariana has participated in many festivals and courses including the Kronberg Academy masterclasses working with Gary Hoffman, Prussia Cove masterclasses working intensively with Steven Isserlis, and the Academy Musicale Chigiana Siena where she worked with Professor David Geringas and was awarded the one available scholarship for an artist of exceptional promise.
