Márta Hortobágyi Lambert

Márta Hortobágyi Lambert began her musical studies on piano and violin, later developing a love for viola at age 14.

Marta is a passionate educator, holding positions at The Juilliard School as an ear training teaching assistant and at Queens Pre-College teaching basic musicianship to young students.

Marta’s inspiration for chamber music has allowed her to attend a number of festivals including Prussia Cove, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival – Winter Workshop, Yellow Barn – YAP, Heifetz International, Astona International and Kneisel Hall, where Marta helped found the Blue Hill String Quartet.

Marta studied with Melissa Reardon and Ara Gregorian at East Carolina University and transferred to The Juilliard School where she currently studies with Hsin-Yun Huang and Misha Amory.
