Here's Britten at his most congenial with Malcolm Martineau — one of the finest Britten interpreters around. He has come together with two wonderful singers to offer a pair of concerts of folksong arrangements include popular favourites like Down by the Sally Gardens, O Waly Waly and The Foggy Foggy Dew. Among the folksongs Martineau and his singers draw in songs by other composers who Britten admired.
